Haier Persistent on the Road of Innovation Haier is Among First 103 Trial Innov.. 23 July, Science & Technology Ministry of China announced to the media that this Ministry in conjunction with State-owned Assets Supervision & Administration Commission of the State Council and All China Federation of Trade Unions has decided that 103 enterprises, including Haier, PetroChem and Chery Automobile, will take part, as the first group, in the experimental project on creation of innovation type enterprises. It is known that these 103 trial innovation type enterprises include both enterprises in high-tech industries and enterprises in traditional industries. In the coming 3~5 years, the range of experimental innovation type enterprises will extend to 500. It is expected that this project will spur a large group of enterprises to heighten their power of technical innovation through competition, and the establishment of China's technical innovation system, in which enterprises are the main players, will be speeded up.
