Haier's Green Concept Is A Great Hit of The 8th Appliance World Expo Beijing Five products of Haier won Industrial Design Potential Award and Excellent Industrial Design Modeling Award respectively in an industrial design review after the exhibition. Staff reporter. During May 10-13, the 8th Appliance World Expo Beijing was hosted at Beijing Exhibition Center. A variety of proprietary products independently developed by Haier Group were shown. To respond to the theme of "Appliance, Environment and Development", a "green" symphony was played by innovative products like detergent-less washer, anti-shock water heater, 3-door inverter refrigerator and fresh-air air conditioner with energy-saving, environmentally friendly and health care benefits, indicating an impressive strength of Haier Group in technical innovation. Appliance World Expo Beijing has been considered as the wind vane of China's home appliance industry. After the exhibition, the result of 2006 Appliance World Expo Beijing - Industrial Design Award competition jointly held by China Electrical Appliance Association and China Industrial Design Association was announced. Inverter side-by-side refrigerator, 3-door inverter refrigerator, range hood and gas range of Haier were winners of Industrial Design Potential Award and dish sterilizer of Haier was winner of Excellent Industrial Design Modeling Award.
