During September 3 and 8, 2005, Haier's delegation led by CEO Zhang Ruimin investigated German, Italian and Tunisian markets.
On September 4, the delegates paid a visit to Berlin Exhibition Grounds where IFA 2005 was held, and met some consumers for their opinions about Haier products. Later, these delegates visited the plant of Haier Italy, listening to a report delivered by the managers of the plant on implementation of Haier 3A Strategy and SBU Operation Statement.
Zhang required Haier trading companies in Europe to do all out to accomplish the goal of 'sales increase with positive net cash flow' to enhance the competitive power of Haier brand.
During the stay, Zhang visited the plant of Haier Tunisia and some of local chain stores for a better understanding of the local market. Zhang iterated that efforts should be made to present Haier's competitive products for the high-end consumers and to enhance the competitive power of Haier in local area.
