Haier drum washing machines to A+ Criteria in Italy Staff report: Not long ago, Yang Aiguo, representative journalist of The Economic Observer in Rome, visited with the manager of Haier (Europe) Trading Company for a market survey program and published an article on Italian market of drum washing machines. The article reports that, to satisfy the market demands of drum washing machines in European countries, Haier researched and manufactured 2 models of washing machines noted for energy efficiency and excellent wash and rinse performances in accordance with the 3A Criteria. These washing machines were tested by Italian competent supervision authority and the test results showed that Haier washing machines comply to not only 3A, but also A+ Criteria, indicating that Haier has been one of leaders in the world for drum washing machine research and manufacture as in Europe, a few brands comply with A+ Criteria. With reliable product quality and unique distribution system, Haier witnesses 250% increase of drum washing machines sales in the first quarter of 2004 in Italy compared with the same period in previous year.
