Haier digital A/V products Staff report: "It might be unimaginable if a mobile phone distributor did not know Haier Pen Phone", said a mobile phone seller from South Africa at CeBIT, the world most influential exhibition event for IT and telecommunication technologies. This event held in Hanoverian on March 18, 2004 and focused upon intelligence, digital control appliances, E-administration and network technologies and was had 6,500 participants from 60 nations and regions. Haier booths are located in the No.25 Exhibition Hall of IT and information systems and displayed mobile phones and LCDs. As China's largest exhibitor, Haier received worldwide distributors, including European sellers, S Co., one of 3 Russian top distributors, T Co., the largest distributor in Ukraine as well as about 100 attendees from Easter Europe, Africa and Mid-east. During the exhibition period, officials of Chinese Embassy to Germany and Chinese Consulate in Hanoverian visited the exhibition and met with Haier staff. They, believing that Haier has gained significant reputation in European whitegoods sector, expressed congratulations to Haier for its success of mobile phone and TV sets in Europe. What made them feel proud was that nearly all participating mobile phone distributors knew Haier mobiles, especially Haier Pen Phones, and many visitors use Haier Pen Phones at the exhibition site. Staff report: On March 23, 2004, the CCBN 2004 was held in Beijing International Exhibition Center, attended by most China's major household appliance manufacturers. At the exhibition, Haier, as China's leading home appliance company, displayed plasma, LCD and back projection TV sets, as well as Patriot branded TV chips, which have been put into quantity production in China.
