WHITE GOODS: Haier is raring to crack the US market
On 15th August, an article written by Godwin Chellam was released. "Haier's Zhang Ruimin is one of China's most celebrated entrepreneurs ¡ and head of the world's fifth-largest maker of white goods, ranked 19th on Fortune's list of the most influential executives outside the United States, is now bent on tackling greater things -- the hard-to-crack US market," so writes the journalist of Reuters, appreciating Haier's unique policy in marketing, "From fridges masquerading as computer tables to TVs resembling frogs, Zhang hopes such wacky products will convert brand-loyal Americans."
