Zhang Ruimin Becomes Alternate of Party Central Committee Haier CEO Zhang Ruimin was elected alternate member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China at the 16th National Congress on November 14th, 2002. This shows the Party's affirmation of Haier's efforts in its practice of the Three Represents. Mr. Zhang accredits the honor to all Haier employees who have made efforts in the construction of the business group. "All our attainments belong to the past, so we must start anew," said the chief executive officer.
