Haier Shines at Furniture Show in Jordan Haier products drew the attention of the visitors at the 2002 Jordanian Fashion Furniture Show which was opened recently. After the opening ceremony, a Jordanian industrial and commercial minister paid a visit to the Haier booth and held friendly talks with the general manager of Haier (Middle East) Trade Co., Ltd and other Haier employees present at the show. In the face of a throng of reporters, the minister welcomed Haier's participation and expressed his wish to give more support to Haier projects in Jordan. The show, which attracted many big names to take part, including GE, Samsung and Daewoo, was a grand event in the Jordanian household appliances industry. Outside the exhibition hall, two Haier flags flew with a Jordanian national flag. Located to the right of the entrance of the exhibition hall (in the eyes of the Arabians, right is considered to be the best and most important place), the 120-square-meter Haier booth, which was decorated with pink streamers and pink platforms, was the largest at the show. Pink made the Haier booth all the more spectacular. Haier franchisers in Jordan and Haier (Middle East) Trade Co contributed greatly to Haier's success at the show, or a fair for the local consumers. Here a complete series of locally made products - TV sets, refrigerators, air conditioners, and pulsator, impeller and drum types of washing machines were on display. Many visitors took special interest in an elegantly designed high-definition TV set which was also made locally. Because the visitors favor Haier products, there were often queues formed by impatient buyers.
