German Ambassador: "I Want to Take Part in Haier's 'Pictures & Words'"
"German Liebherr made a mistake in bringing up Haier ¨C a disciple far surpasses its master! Just as an ancient Chinese saying goes: blue comes from the indigo plant but is bluer than the plant itself!" said Mr. Joachim Broudre-Groger, German ambassador to China, humorously and sincerely, following a visit to Haier Group on June 10. "Haier is a pacesetter in China's internationalization drive and is the best enterprise for China's WTO entry," he said.
Mr. Joachim Broudre-Groger's deep interest in cartoon pictures was suddenly aroused as Wu Kesong, vice chairman of the board of directors of Haier Group, gave the guest a book ¨C "Pictures & Words" of Haier Employees". "I'm good at drawing cartoons. Now I will show you here." The ambassador was not only a diplomat but also a cartoon master! With a few strokes, a cartoon was finished. "To me, Haier is getting better and stronger; it's sort of flying," the ambassador said when asked what the cartoon meant. When asked who it was in the picture, he said, "It's me. I will hold the Haier flag high and fly with the company together!"
