Mr Zhang Ruimin Addresses "Future of Asia" Forum Tokyo, May 22 ¡ª Mr Zhang Ruimin, chief executive officer of Haier Group, delivered a speech at the "Future of Asia" forum on invitation. Over 300 people, mostly government officials and executives from large Asian companies, attended the gathering. Other speakers include executives of international consortiums like Coca-Cola, Kodak and Itoyokado. In his speech entitled "The Consumer Market of China", Mr Zhang made an introduction of Haier's innovative ideas and solutions as well as its achievements. His original viewpoints greatly interested the audience. Mr Zhang was surrounded by reporters and journalists with influential Japanese and Chinese media such as "People's Daily" and "Guangming Daily" and answered questions there. Both the Japanese and Chinese present at the scene showed great admiration for Mr Zhang's remarks.
