"Haier Products Are Favored by Youngsters in the US"
On April 11th, a delegation from the world known audio and video product maker Thomson Group, led by Mr. Dehelly, senior executive vice president and chief operating officer of the group, paid a visit to Haier Group.
"I know Haier very well", said Mr. Arras, senior director of Thomson Group, at a meeting with CEO Zhang Ruimin and Vice President Chai Yongsen. "My son is an enthusiastic user of Haier products. Days ago, he bought a Haier refrigerator in the U.S. and it was excellent in quality. Haier is a young brand but it is favored by the youngsters in the States. Thomson has made great progress in the last few years, but compared with Haier, it is not much. I wish Thomson will have the same business growth rate as Haier has".
Mr. Dehelly and his colleagues, accompanied by Yu Zida, vice president of Haier Group, visited the Haier Industrial Park. At the special refrigerator factory, Mr. Dehelly was amazed when he saw a variety of models coming out of the production line at the same time, and said "I thought such a flexible manufacturing system could only be seen in developed countries and never imagined that it is used by Haier. And you have a data collecting system for automatic production plan according to market demand. It can break down the customer demand into daily production load, and make production possible for end users. I figure you have one of the best flexible manufacturing systems in the world".
