Haier Group began to implement an internationalization strategy in 1998. The market share of Haier white household appliances in Europe has enjoyed a 15-fold increase over the last three years.
The growth in sales volume is just an example for Haier's rapid expansion in the international market. From January to October, Haier's foreign currency earnings through export increased by 50% over the same period last year. According to the latest statistics of China Household Appliance Association, from January to September, Haier was ranked first among domestic competitors in output, sales volume and revenue, export volume and value, for refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners.
