Asia Week: Haier Ranked First among Chinese Competitors According to Asia Week's assessment, Haier ranks 266th among Asia top 1000 enterprises and first in the Chinese household appliance industry. Haier has improved its place during four years since its first participation in the assessment in 1998. It ranked the 756th place in 1998, 456th in 1999 and 360th in 2000. Haier's 4 consecutive leaps in the ranking has showed its growing international competitiveness.
