Haier's Swiftness is Copied by Japan A delegation of the Mitsubishi Engineering Co Ltd, led by president Nishioka Chyo, paid a visit to the Haier Group on November 9. They first visited the air conditioner plant and product showrooms. "What we admire Haier for is that it has both a faith and a foresighted vision. Such a vision ensures the staff members at all levels are working hard concertedly toward one direction to mutually realize the cause of Haier's great development", remarked Mr. Nishioka Chyo, after he saw a variety of Haier products and learned about the group's rapid development. After their visit to the plant, the delegation were warmly received by Haier's CEO, Mr Zhang Ruimin and President Yang Mianmian at Haier headquarters. "Haier has been developed so rapidly, and we have come here to study your successful experience. Haier is really great!", Nishioka Chyo said in his opening speech. Mr Zhang thanked both Mr Nishioka Chyo and his delegation for their visit to Haier, and then told them that the cooperation between both Haier and Mitsubishi has produced a win-win result. He expected further cooperation with the Mitsubishi in future. "We lost many opportunities in the past because we were conservative and slow in responding to market demand. For example it took us more than six months to discuss the application and transfer of a technique. From now on, we shall learn from Haier about swift reactions to market so as to regain what we have lost in market competition", Nishioka Chyo said seriously following a situation briefing made by Mr Zhang and Ms Yang.
