Haier Builds its Ninth Industrial Park in Dalian The signing ceremony for the construction of Dalian Haier Industrial Park was held in the Haier Group's Central Building on September 7th 2001. Mr Zhang Ruimin, CEO of the group and Mr Wu Kesong, Vice Chairman, attended the ceremony. Mr. Yang Xixue, Director of the Administrative Commission for Dalian Export & Processing Area came from Dalian to celebrate the event. The project's negotiation started on August 23. The local partner spoke highly of Haier's high efficiency and rapid development. Relevant organizations in Dalian expressed their support and confidence in cooperation with the Haier Group. "Construction will start tonight", Mr Yang told the meeting. The Haier Industrial Park, covering an area of 250,000 square meters, is situated on the northern part of Dalian Export & Processing Area. The park will become a production base for two export-oriented products ¨D window air conditioners and compact refrigerators as well as for manufacturing parts for assembly of these machines. A resource said the project would be put into trial operation on December 26th , Haier's birthday anniversary. It will be the group's ninth industrial park.
