We Want to Cooperate with Haier, said Mr Shi Ruide, Director of China Branch, N.. On March 16th 2001, Mr Shi Ruide, the director of China Branch, National City Bank of New York ¨C the biggest financial institution in the world ¨C paid a visit to Haier with his colleagues to explore opportunities of cooperation with Haier. Mr Zhang Ruimin, CEO of the Haier Group held a talk with Mr Shi Ruide about topics of common interest, including capital global operation and risk management. Mr Shi Ruide said, "I heard about Haier long ago. In my impression, Haier sounded more like a German company. After China joins WTO, Chinese companies like Haier will develop further. City Bank is an international bank and needs Haier to join in. In the past, City Bank has developed from an American bank to an international one. Now we are glad to develop together with Haier." After he visited networked household electric appliances produced by the Haier Group, Mr Shi Ruide was excited to say, "Visiting your exhibition stands seems to come into a future world. Haier's hi-tech products will be certain to lead consuming trends in the global household electric market."
