Haier President Yang Mianmian listed in Fortune's "Top 50 Most Influential Women in Business" for 5 years in a row In November of 2008, the Chinese version of Fortune (second semimonthly) issued the election result of "Top 50 Most Influential Women in Business" for 2008. Yang Mianmian, President of Haier Group, ranked No.17, up 8 than last year, the highest among all the Chinese women in the list. With her first award of Fortune's "Top 50 Most Influential Women in Business" in 2004, President Yang is the only Chinese woman in business who appeared on the list for 5 consecutive years. It is told that on the "Forum of Women Development in the thirty years of Reform and Openning-up" jointly sponsored by All-China Women's Federation and Women Research Center of Party School of the Central Committee of C.P.C. on Nov. 28th, President Yang was awarded "Ten Women Media Characters in the Reform".
