Breaking News: forbes.com released Top 600 List of the World's Most Reputable Companies based on the recent study of Reputation Institute, a New York City-based research and consulting firm. Haier ranks 13th, making it the frontrunner among Chinese companies. Toyota stands No. 1 while Google and Ikea rank No. 2 and No. 3. Starting from 1999, Reputation Institute has been jointing hands with Harris Interactive in launching the corporate reputation rankings which initially included only American companies, with merely 60 companies surveyed. In 2006, Reputation Institute launched its inaugural list of the world's most respected companies, in which Haier ranked 25th, the best among Chinese enterprises. In the current ranking, Haier has been elevated to the 13th place, ascending 12 places, which witnessed the gigantic enhancement of Haier's overall corporate strength.
