In the year of 2007, Haier Group received great compliments from public, media and industry professionals for its commonweal contribution especially "One Olympic Golden Medal, One Hope Primary School"project.On December 3,2007, Haier Group announced "If Chinese athletes win a gold medal in 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, Haier Group will donate to building a hope primary school which names after an Olympic champion." The public opinion thought that Haier Group had made great contribution to commonweals and assumed its corporation social responsibility actively, which was a good example of excellent Chinese national corporations. In fact, Haier Group has all along devoted its energy to public good or welfare since it was established. The statistic shows that Haier Group has donated RMB 250 million to social education, disaster relief and help-the-poor programs and it has established 78 Hope Primary Schools. It is reported that Sohu China hold the form as the sponsor of 2008 Beijing Olympics, inviting famous economist, enterprisers, sociologists and media to probe into Olympic issues.
