India Media to Highlight Haier Rapid Development
Bombay, Idia, Feb 1, 2008--The rapid development of Haier Group has aroused high attention of India media, such as Economic Times, Hindu Business Line, and Financial Express, who made a number of reports on Haier's expansion in India home appliances market. At the same time, Forbes website and other overseas media also released these news reports, which have improved Haier Group's reputation in overseas markets.
A news report was released on Forbes website January 23,2008, which says "White goods manufacturer Haier said it is willing to invest an additional 1.5 bln rupees to acquire Indian companies and corner more of the country's consumer electronics segment than its existing 2 pct" Subsequently, the article expounds Haier Group's development strategy in India, including the enhancement of dealer network, the upgrade of innovative products, the focus of small-share markets and the research and development of energy-saving and environment-friendly products etc.

Brand Line, a journalist who paid a visit to Haier Park in Qingdao, showed his great interesting in Haier culture. He mentioned that three of the most unique management practices that CEO Zhang Ruimin instilled in the company's culture were that of individual accountability, the OEC model and that of attracting the "stunned fish".
It is reported that a India journalists group paid a visit to Haier Park in Qingdao and participated in a press conference organized by Haier Overseas Division on January 17, 2008. Mr. Diao Yunfeng, director of Haier Overseas Division, and Mr. Prannay, the company's Indian head answered several questions of Indian journalists at the press conference.
