Haier CEO Zhang Ruimin inspects Malaysian and Thai markets to enhance Haier's c.. July 29-31, a Haier delegation led by CEO Zhang Ruimin inspected Malaysian and Thai markets. Zhang participated in the opening ceremony for Haier (Malaysia) exhibition center and delivered a speech at the meeting of local distributors on July 29. In Malaysia, Zhang inspected KLCC TWIN TOWER Best and SENQ appliance chain stores to acquire feedbacks on Haier products and information of market demands. Zhang encouraged Haier staff to treat Southeast Asian markets as a whole and to enhance competitiveness of Haier products. The Haier delegation arrived in Thailand on July 30 and inspected some major appliance chain stores on July 31. After that, Zhang paid a visit to Haier's business partner factory and listened to a report on Thai market. Zhang was accompanied by Cao Chunhua, vice president of Haier Group and general manager of Haier Washing Machine Division, and Tan Lixia, general manager of Haier Overseas Promotion Division. Zhang also visited Chinese Embassy in Malaysia and met Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia Wang Chungui who highly praised Haier's achievements and fast growth in Southeast Asian markets.
