"I hope China has more than one Haier" March 5 report of the Renmin Zhengxie Bao (A daily newspaper of the CPPCC): During the second session of the 10th CPPCC Congress, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao attended the panel discussion of the delegates from economic and agricultural circles held in Beijing Railway Building. At the panel discussion, when a delegate said that Haier was placed 95th of the World's 100 Most Recognizable Brands by the World Brand Lab, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao told the delegates, "In a letter I sent to Haier I said, a company cannot be competitive unless it has its own brands recognized by the world community. I hope that China has more than one Haier."
