Haier President Yang Mianmian Receives Honors At a commendatory meeting for outstanding Chinese Women held on September 7 in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, Haier president Yang Mianmian was named as "Outstanding Chinese Woman" for her prominent achievements, special contributions, innovative management ideas and imaginative thoughts. Upon receiving the honor, she made an ad-lib speech to the audience. "As a business woman, she will always be considered in terms of business accomplishments," she said. "I can stand here today all because of Haier's development." Ms. Yang's impromptu speech, short but infectious, won warm applauses from the audience.
